Byzantinisches Gebäude des Agios Dimitrios in Kypseli
Byzantinisches Gebäude des Agios Dimitrios in Kypseli.In der Nähe von Mesopotamos, nordöstlich des Dorfes Kypseli, dessen alter Name Tourkopaloukos lautet, neben dem Kokytos (Nebenfluss des Acheron) befindet sich das postbyzantinische Gebäude des Klosters von Agios Dimitrios. Laut seiner Gründerinschrift, worin Michael II. Doukas erwähnt wird, wurde es samt dem Katholikon im Jahr 1242 n.Chr. erbaut. Es handelt sich um eine dreischiffige, kreuzförmige Kirche mit späteren Fresken aus dem 17. -18. Jahrhundert, zu dieser Zeit soll auch der Altar des Klosters entstanden sein. Einige Teile der Räume sind erhalten.
